The sixth installment sees the return of Cindy Campbell, Regina Meeks, Shorty Meeks, and Ray Meeks as the Ghostface killer has returned years later. The film stars Anna Faris, Regina Hall, Marlon Wayans, Shawn Wayans, Dave Sheridan, Lochlyn Munroe, Cheri Oteri, Olivia Rose Keegan, Cameron Scott Roberts, Savannah Lee Nassif, and Jon Abrahams. 

I thought Scary Movie was fun. It was good for what it was. I didn’t think it was super amazing and I thought some of the earlier movies were better. It was nice to see the gang back together. It mirrored Scream 5 a lot which makes sense given the title of this is Scary Movie and Scream 5 was called Scream. A lot of the plot beats were nearly identical to Scream 5 which again makes sense. The cast does a solid job in their roles. 

I found some parts of the movie funny but for the most part I did not find it that funny. I also found some scenes cringe worthy. I was not a big fan of the first Scary Movie. I was also really young when I saw the movie. I did like Scary Movie 3 and 4. I have not seen Scary Movie 5. I also did not like Scary Movie 2 that much when I saw that either. The main reason I did not like the first two Scary Movies is because I found them gross. This movie is similar in some regards, and I still found some parts gross. 

Scary Movie clocks in a little over ninety minutes which I think is a good length. It didn’t drag on. The movie does have two credit scenes. It has a mid-credit scene and a credit scene near the end of the credits. 

Scary Movie is a fun movie that is good for an afternoon of mindless entertainment. It will be interesting to see if there will be a Scary Movie 7 and what that would parody.
