Fast X is the 10th installment in the Fast and Furious franchise. The film sees the gang face their greatest foe yet in Dante Reyes who has been plotting to destroy them for years. The film stars Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Sung Kang, Ludacris, Tyrese Gibson, Nathalie Emmanuel, John Cena, Charlize Theron, Helen Mirren, Scott Eastwood, Jason Statham, Brie Larson, Alan Ritchson, Daniela Melchior, Rita Morena, and Jason Momoa.
I enjoyed Fast X a lot. It is over the top and fun. Fast X is game changing for the franchise. It’s a wild ride with great action sequences. There are so many great scenes for all of the main characters. A lot is packed into the movie that clocks in at two hours and twenty one minutes. The movie can be ridiculous at times but that is the fun of the Fast and Furious franchise. It seems that they really leaned into how absurd the movies have gotten. For all the absurdness a big theme in the movies is family. That has stemmed from the very first movie. It is a simple but effective message. Even as the films have gotten more over the top, the heart of the franchise is family and the characters.
The cast does a great job as usual. So many of them get shining moments. One highlight is the showdown between Cypher (Charlize Theron) and Letty (Michelle Rodriguez). The scene has been featured in the promos and it does not disappoint. Another highlight is the long awaited showdown between Han (Sung Kang) and Shaw (Jason Statham). There are other great fight sequences and crazy stunts.
There are new additions that stand out. Brie Larson is great as Tess, who is the daughter of Mr. Nobody played by Kurt Russell in prior movies, who is missing or dead. She really shines and has some great fight scenes. The big standout is Jason Momoa as the villain Dante Reyes. He steals every moment on screen. He is bonkers and it is obvious that Jason Momoa had a blast playing the character. He really does a good job. He is so insane and ridiculous that it works.
Fast X has a mid-credit scene that sets things up for Fast 11. Fast X has some surprises in store, especially by the end. It definitely feels like the beginning of the end of the franchise. That becomes apparent by the end of the movie.
Fast X is a great over the top, fun, and awesome action summer blockbuster. It is a wild and bonkers movie. It is a ton of fun and is the perfect movie for the summer season. I cannot wait for Fast 11 and to see how the story ends.

I enjoyed your review and agree with a lot of it! This movie is so much fun. The action scenes you mentioned really standout as excellent choreography and skills. Saw this movie with my friend on a weekday night and the theatre was almost full, it was very fun. I don’t think I really enjoyed Monica’s performance, it somehow felt just strange to me, but ah well. Other than that, I really liked this addition to the FF series and am looking forward to more :))
