A Goofy Movie was released in 1995. Max and Goofy go on a road trip for the summer. The movie stars Bill Farmer, Jason Marsden, Jim Cummings, Kellie Martin, Rob Paulsen, and Wallace Shawn.
I had never seen A Goofy Movie. The movie came out when I was little. At the time I had never had much interest in seeing it. I finally got to see it and I thought it was a good movie. I probably would have enjoyed it a lot if I watched it when it came out. It is a nice, sweet movie. It has a lot of heart. It centers on Goofy and Max, and Max is in high school. This centers on Goofy and Max completely. The rest of Goofy’s friends are not in the movie other than a quick cameo from two characters.
I did not know A Goofy Movie was a musical. I knew there was music, but I didn’t know there was singing in it. I thought the songs were fun. I didn’t find the songs super memorable compared to songs from Aladdin, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, etc.
The movie is short. It clocks in around seventy-eight minutes. It didn’t feel too short, but it also didn’t feel too long. It felt just right. Sometimes when movies are on the shorter end, it feels like there are things that are missing or that things were crammed in. This was not the case with A Goofy Movie. It felt like the movie covered what it wanted to cover. Nothing felt cut short or lacking for that matter.
A Goofy Movie is a fun Disney movie with a nice heartfelt story. It is nice to see the spotlight on Goofy and Max for a change without Mickey Mouse and the gang.
