I enjoyed Mortal Kombat a lot. I thought it was a lot of fun. I never played the games, but I am aware of the basic concept of the games. I thought the movie was well done. It seemed to capture the spirit of the games including the violence level. The movie is very bloody and bloody fantastic. It also did a good job at setting up the characters and the world. The cast does a solid job.
The movie looks great. While watching it I couldn’t help but wonder what it would have been like to have watched the movie in IMAX. It would have been a cool experience to see this on the big screen.
The movie does set up a sequel. Mortal Kombat 2 was announced shortly after this was released. Mortal Kombat 2 has completed filming but currently does not have a release date. The movie is a good length. It clocks in a little under two hours. It was just the right length. It was not too short, but it was not too long. It didn’t drag. It had a good pace. The movie got right into the action at the beginning. The movie is action packed throughout and the fight scenes are impressive.
Mortal Kombat is an awesome action-packed movie that is a lot of fun. It has a great cast and cool action scenes. I am looking forward to seeing Mortal Kombat 2 and where it goes next.
