Just Married was released in 2003. It is about a newlywed couple who go through a series of obstacles during their honeymoon. The movie stars Ashton Kutcher, Brittany Murphy, Christian Kane, David Moscow, Monet Mazur, and David Rasche.

I thought Just Married was alright. It wasn’t amazing but it wasn’t terrible. I thought it was a little better than some of the other romantic comedies I have seen recently. I was slightly more invested in the relationship of the main characters. I thought Ashton Kutcher and Brittany Murphy did a good job. They made a good pair. They carried most of the movie. The rest of the cast did a good job in their roles as well, but the movie really belongs to Ashton Kutcher and Brittany Murphy.

The movie is a good length clocking in at a little over ninety minutes. By the time it was starting to feel a little long, it ended.

Just Married is a romantic comedy. I didn’t find the movie that funny. I didn’t laugh at all during the movie. The movie was alright. When seeing a comedy of any kind, one would hope to be able to laugh a little. Ashton Kutcher and Brittany Murphy helped make the movie a little more tolerable. I think it was a wise choice to focus the movie on their characters instead of cramming five hundred different family members and friends in the movie. Sometimes these movies have big casts where half of the supporting characters get sidelined for the main characters. Just Married doesn’t do that. I think that worked in its favor.

Just Married is a little different for the genre. It has a bit of a nastiness to it. It is definitely not a hallmark movie. A movie similar to Just Married would be What Happens in Vegas which also starred Ashton Kutcher as well as Cameron Diaz. That movie was released a few years after Just Married. Some of the antics in What Happens in Vegas are similar to the antics and humor in Just Married.

Just Married is an alright romantic comedy that is a little better than other films in the genre due to the leads. Ashton Kutcher and Brittany Murphy really carry the movie and they have good chemistry together. Just Married is not a bad movie but it isn’t a great movie.
