Just My Luck was released in 2006. The movie is about a woman named Ashley who has good luck while a guy named Jake has bad luck. After they share a kiss at a masquerade ball, their lives get turned upside down when Jake has good luck and Ashley has bad luck. The movie stars Lindsay Lohan, Chris Pine, Samaire Armstrong, Bree Turner, Faizon Love, Missi Pyle, Mackenzie Vega, Carlos Ponce, Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Harry Judd, and Dougie Poynter.

I thought Just My Luck was alright. I didn’t love the movie, but I didn’t hate it. The cast does a good job. This was a good movie for Lindsay Lohan. This followed Freaky Friday and Mean Girls. Lindsay Lohan does a good job as Ashley. Chris Pine does a good job as well as Jake. This came out after The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement. Chris Pine was very likeable as Jake.

The movie is a good length. It didn’t feel too long. It is a charming movie. I just didn’t feel much while watching it. I didn’t find it that funny either.

I am a little surprised the movie bombed when it came out. Lindsay Lohan was still riding fairly high from the success of Freaky Friday and Mean Girls which came out a few years before. Lindsay Lohan also starred in Herbie: Fully Loaded that came out the year prior and did decently. This was the first of many consecutive bombs for Lindsay Lohan. The movie does show that comedy is Lindsay Lohan’s strong suit.

Just My Luck has a charming premise and a likeable cast. It is an alright movie that is just kind of meh. Lindsay Lohan and Chris Pine help elevate the movie slightly with their likeability.
