In honor of The Flash ending on Wednesday May 24^th, here is a look at Caitlin Snow and Killer Frost’s journey. MASSIVE SPOILERS.

Danielle Panabaker has gotten to play multiple characters throughout the course of The Flash. Caitlin Snow worked at S.T.A.R. Labs with Cisco Ramone (Carlos Valdes) and Ronnie Raymond (Robbie Amell) who Caitlin was dating. They were mentored by Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh). They built The Particle Accelerator which exploded and killed Ronnie. It also gave birth to metahumans in Central City and gave Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) his speedster abilities. Caitlin and Cisco and Wells watched over Barry while he was in a coma. When Barry woke up, Barry went on to become The Flash and they became Team Flash. Caitlin was reunited with Ronnie who had been alive the whole time. He was one half of the metahuman Firestorm alongside Martin Stein (Victor Garber). It was also revealed that Harrison Wells was really Eobard Thawne (Matt Letscher). Eobard Thawne killed the real Wells and used his form. He was also Reverse Flash. Thawne was defeated when Eddie Thawne (Rick Cosnett), a descendant of Thawne killed himself to erase Eobard from the timeline. Caitlin and Ronnie got married after defeating Thawne. Their marriage was short lived when Ronnie sacrificed himself to save the world.

In season 2 Caitlin was grief stricken and she eventually started opening up to love again when she started to get closer to Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears) from Earth-2. Caitlin experienced heartbreak when it was revealed that Jay Garrick was really the villain Zoom. Jay Garrick was also really Hunter Zolomon and stole the identity of the real Jay Garrick (John Wesley Shipp) who he had imprisoned. When Barry and Cisco went to Earth-2 it revealed evil versions of Cisco as Reverb, Ronnie as Deathstorm, and Caitlin who was Killer Frost. They worked for Zoom.

In Season 3 Caitlin became Killer Frost and she teamed up with Savitar. Killer Frost had a showdown with Vibe. After Team Flash defeated Savitar, Caitlin distanced herself from the team after everything she had done as Killer Frost.

In season 4, Caitlin reunited with Team Flash. She started gaining control over herself and Killer Frost. Killer Frost started to become a hero. Killer Frost became an active member of Team Flash with The Flash and Vibe and the three of them would go in the field together. Killer Frost and Caitlin found a rhythm.

In Season 6 Killer Frost started to want new things in life. She wanted to experience the world the way Caitlin got to. Killer Frost always showed up when Team Flash needed her for a fight while Caitlin got to experience having a life. Caitlin and Killer Frost would take turns experiencing life.

In Season 7 Caitlin and Killer Frost became their own people and for the first time they were not sharing a body. Killer Frost went on trial and Cecile Horton (Danielle Nicolet) represented her. She was on trial for all the crimes she committed when she was a villain. Eventually Killer Frost was able to gain the trust of the people and also changed her name to Frost. Caitlin faced another loss when she had to say goodbye to Cisco who was leaving Central City for a new job at A.R.G.U.S. He and Kamilla (Victoria Park) were going to meet up in Star City. Frost got to experience love for the first time when she started dating Mark Stevens (Jon Cor) also known as the villain Chillblaine. Eventually Mark became a hero.  Toward the end of season 8 Frost died while battling Deathstorm. In order to defeat Deathstorm, Frost became Hell Frost. Caitlin and Mark were devastated as were the rest of Team Flash. Caitlin tried bringing Frost back. Once Barry found out what Caitlin was doing, he destroyed everything. Caitlin was devastated and she found another way to try to resurrect Frost back.

In the current season it was revealed that Caitlin died and a new being was born, Kione. Kione looks exactly like Caitlin and Frost but is completely different. Mark bonded with Kione. Kione pushed Mark away when it seemed that he was hoping to turn her into Frost. Kione is a goddess whose abilities keep getting stronger day by day. It will be interesting to see how Kione’s story will end in the series finale. It will also be interesting to see what becomes of Caitlin and Frost. Will they appear? Could there be one more resurrection in store? Caitlin and Frost have had quite the run on The Flash, and they have both been through a lot in their lives.
