In honor of The Flash ending on Wednesday May 24th, here is a look at Wally West’s journey. MASSIVE SPOILERS.

Wally West joined The Flash in season 2 when he showed up on Joe West’s (Jesse L. Martin) doorstep to meet his father and his sister Iris West (Candice Patton). Wally was raised by his mother Francine (Vanessa Williams) who had left Joe and Iris before he was born. Wally started to find a family with Joe and Iris as well as Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and Team Flash. Wally fell in love when he met Jesse Wells (Violet Beane) who went on to become Jessie Quick once she got superspeed. Jessie is the daughter of Earth-2 Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh). Wally felt left out after Jesse got powers. Later on, Wally got superspeed and became Kid Flash. Kid Flash got mentored by H.R. Wells (Tom Cavanagh) from Earth-19.
After defeating Savitar and saving Iris, Barry went into the Speed Force where he was gone for a while. During Barry’s absence, Wally stepped up as the main speedster in Central City while Iris became team leader. Barry returned and Jessie broke up with Wally. Feeling heartbroken and left out, Wally announced to Team Flash that he was going to leave Central City to go on his own journey to find himself. Wally exited the series as a series regular at the beginning of season 4. Wally made appearances since leaving the show. Wally showed up in a few more episodes of season 4 and attended Barry and Iris’ wedding during Crisis on Earth X. While Wally was off The Flash, Wally went on to join DC’s Legends of Tomorrow as a series regular for the remainder of season 3. Wally joined the team and left the show after the season 3 finale. Wally appeared in The Flash season 4 finale where Nora West Allen (Jessica Parker Kennedy) revealed to Team Flash that she is Barry and Iris’ daughter from the future. Wally was also in the season 5 premiere before he went off on his own. Wally showed up again in an episode of season 6 after Crisis on Infinite Earths and told Barry there were consequences to the speed force after Crisis. He also revealed that he suspected that something seemed off about Iris. The real Iris was trapped in the mirrorverse, while an Iris from the mirrorverse was living Iris’ life.
Wally last appeared in the current season in an episode that saw the return of Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) and John Diggle (David Ramsey). Wally came to celebrate Barry’s birthday and was brainwashed by Bloodwork (Sendhil Ramamurthy). Eventually, Barry saved Wally and they, along with Oliver and Diggle and were able to stop Bloodwork once and for all. Currently, it has been made to seem that was Wally’s last appearance. There is always the chance Wally will show up in the series finale even for just a cameo. It looks like Wally’s journey on The Flash has come to a close. Wally has grown a lot throughout the series. He has become a hero and has found himself.
