In honor of The Flash ending on Wednesday May 24th, here is a look at Cecille Horton’s journey. MASSIVE SPOILERS.
Cecile Horton appeared in an episode of Season 1 before resurfacing as a recurring character later in the show. Cecile was the district attorney who eventually started dating Detective Joe West (Jesse L. Martin). Cecille gets promoted to a series regular in Season 5. Cecille also developed powers of telepathy and empathy during her pregnancy in season 4. She joined Team Flash in their fight against The Thinker (Neil Sandilands) in season 4. Joe and Cecile had a daughter Jenna (Adina Insley) who was born at the end of season 4.
Cecile’s powers have evolved over time. Cecile grew bonds with all of the major team members on Team Flash. Cecile went from district attorney to meta-human attorney. She has represented many meta-humans including Allegra (Kayla Compton), Killer Frost (Danielle Panabaker), and The Flash (Grant Gustin). Cecile has played a major role in many of the Flash’s adventures over the years.
Cecile’s powers have evolved even more during the current season. Cecile juggles a role on Team Flash and a role as a mother. Joe and Jenna have moved away from Central City and Cecile visits them on the weekends while helping Team Flash during the week. It will be interesting to see where Cecile’s story will go in the remaining episodes and if there will be further development of her powers.
