Best Season Finales

It’s now May which means many network shows are gearing up for their season finales. Here are some of the best season finales. There are MAJOR SPOILERS.

Melrose Place Season 3 The Big Bang Theory Season Finale

Season 3 of Melrose Place was already explosive and is the best season of the show. The season finale has everything. Dr. Peter Burns (Jack Wagner) who went to jail earlier in the season returns and wants to get back together with Amanda (Heather Locklear). Billy (Andrew Shue) and Brooke (Kristin Davis) get married which leaves Allison (Courtney Throne Smith) devastated and leads her back to the bottle. Matt (Dough Savant) is a prime suspect in his boyfriend’s wife’s murder. Kimberly (Marcia Cross) kidnaps Sydney (Laura Leighton) and reveals that she is going to blow up the apartment complex with everybody in it. The season ends with Jake (Grant Show) and his brother Jess (Dan Cortese) falling off a ledge at a construction site after having a brawl and Kimberly with her hand on the detonator to blow up the apartment complex.

One Tree Hill Season 3 The Show Must Go On Season Finale

Weddings. Lives in perils. Multiple cliffhangers. The Season 3 Finale had everything. Nathan (James Lafferty) and Haley (Bethany Joy Lenz) got married again and had a wedding for their family and friends. A broken hearted Rachel (Danneel Ackels) got drunk and stole a limo where Nathan’s Uncle Cooper (Michael Trucco) got in. The limo went over a bridge. Dan (Paul Johansson) learns that he killed his brother Keith (Craig Sheffer) for no reason when it is revealed that his ex-wife Deb (Barbara Alyn Woods) is the one who tried to kill him. Brooke (Sophia Bush) learns that Peyton (Hilary Burton Morgan) is in love with Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) and ends her friendship with her. Lucas learns that his mother Karen (Moira Kelly) is pregnant but there is a second pregnancy test in matching purses. The finale ends with Nathan going to save Rachel and Uncle Cooper while Haley is left in the middle of the road screaming.

Ugly Betty Season 1 East Side Story Season Finale

The Season 1 finale truly fits everything that Ugly Betty is. It’s funny, shocking, explosive, and over the top. Claire Meade (Judith Light) escapes a prison bus. Wilhelmina (Vanessa Williams) and Bradford Meade (Alan Dale) get engaged. Alexis (Rebecca Romjin) and Daniel (Eric Mabius) get in a car accident. Santos (Kevin Alejandro) gets shot at a convenience store. Betty (America Ferrera) and Henry’s (Christopher Gorham) relationship hits a snag when Charlie (Jayma Mays) announces she is pregnant. The finale ends with Hilda (Ana Ortiz) learning that Santos has been shot.

Frasier Season 7 Something Borrowed, Someone Blue Season Finale

In a special 1 hour finale, Niles (David Hyde Pierce) and Daphne (Jane Leeves) finally get together when Daphne leaves Donny Douglas (Saul Rubinek) at the altar and chooses Niles in a Winnebago. It only took 7 seasons.

The Mandalorian Season 3 Chapter 24: The Return Season Finale

Season 3 wrapped up a few weeks ago and it is the best finale yet for The Mandalorian. It is action packed and it is an emotional roller coaster. It has an epic battle between Moff Gideon’s (Giancarlo Esposito) army and the Mandalorians. Moff Gideon has an epic showdown with Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff) and Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal). There are epic moments for Grogu who saves Bo Katan and Djin Djarin from a fiery death.

The Vampire Diaries Season 3 The Departed Season Finale

The Season Finale that changed everything. Elena (Nina Dobrev) dies and becomes a vampire. Of course, there are tons of other things that happen in the action packed finale. Alaric (Matt Davis) dies. Tyler (Michael Trevino) dies but is taken over by Klaus (Joseph Morgan) who is not actually dead. And the episode ends with Elena becoming a vampire. 

Loki Season 1 For All Time. Always. Season Finale

The finale that changes the course of the MCU forever. Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino) kills He Who Remains (Jonathon Majors) and unleashes the multiverse and presumably Kang. The episode ends with Loki (Tom Hiddleston) in what appears to be a new timeline where Kang is the ruler. 

Dallas Season 3 A House Divided Season Finale

Who Shot JR (Larry Hagman)? The most famous cliffhanger of them all. The episode itself is full of drama. Bobby (Patrick Duffy) and Pam (Victoria Principal) leave Southfork which devastates Miss Ellie (Barbara Bel Geddes). Bobby leaves because of JR. Everything ties back to JR leading to a huge list of potential suspects including his wife Sue Ellen (Linda Gray).

Lost Season 1 Exodus Part 2 Season Finale

In the two hour season finale, Walt (Malcolm David Kelley) gets kidnapped and the hatch is finally opened.

Smallville Season 6 Phantom Season Finale

Smallville is accustomed to having jam packed finales and Season 6 is no different. Martha Kent (Annette O’Toole) leaves. Lana (Kristin Kreuk) leaves Lex (Michael Rosenbaum). Lois (Erica Durance) gets stabbed. Lionel (John Glover) witnesses Lana’s death. The damn breaks at Reeves Damn factory leaving everyone in peril and Clark (Tom Welling) faces Bizarro.

Riverdale Season 6 Night of the Comet Season Finale

The most bonkers finale yet for Riverdale. The gang unites to stop a comet from decimating their town. After Cheryl Blossom (Madelaine Petsch) saves the day in a cool Scarlet Witch esque moment, the finale delivers a truly shocking moment when it sends the gang back to high school in the 1950s.

Desperate Housewives Season 1 One Wonderful Day Season Finale

The finale was filled with answers to the season long mystery of why Mary Alice (Brenda Strong) killed herself. Mike (James Denton) finally has a showdown with Paul (Mark Moses). Bree (Marcia Cross) becomes a widow when Rex (Steven Culp) dies. Carlos (Ricardo Antonio Chavira) goes to prison and learns that Gabrielle (Eva Longoria) was sleeping with John (Jesse Metcalfe). The episode ended with Zack (Cody Kasch) holding Susan (Teri Hatcher) hostage at gunpoint.

Grey’s Anatomy Season 6 Sanctuary/Death and All His Friends Season Finale

The two hour finale provides high anxiety when the episode kicks off with a mass shooting in the hospital that dominates the two hours. The end of the first hour ends with Derek (Patrick Dempsey) getting shot. By the end of the final hour Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) has a miscarriage and there are multiple deaths.

Arrow Season 3 My Name is Oliver Queen Season Finale

The Season 3 finale is an action packed hour. The Flash (Grant Gustin) makes an appearance. Oliver (Stephen Amell) has a final showdown with Ra’s al Ghul (Mathew Nable). Ray Palmer’s (Brandon Routh) life hangs in the balance when an explosion happens. Oliver and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) run off into the sunset.
