How Far Can Miley Cyrus Endless Summer Vacation Go?

Miley Cyrus is having quite a year so far. She has a smash hit single, Flowers off her album Endless Summer Vacation. Flowers has become Miley’s longest number one on the Billboard Hot 100 achieving eight nonconsecutive weeks. Flowers has been riding high since it launched in January, and it shows no signs of stopping. It is still currently in the top ten on the Billboard Hot 100 as of the Billboard Hot 100 dated April 22nd. Flowers is Miley’s biggest hit since Wrecking Ball which was also the last song to hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100. Once Flowers settles down, how far can this album go? Is Flowers going to be the only hit song from the album or will there be more?

Endless Summer Vacation is full of great songs. Any one of them could be a single. There seemed to be some talk about River being the next single. It was getting some radio airplay once the album launched but that seemed to cool down for the time being. Flowers is still a dominant force. There might have to be a longer wait until a second single can start to take over. Taylor Swift’s song Anti-Hero has been a dominant force on the chart and on radio since the album Midnights was released. Within the last month or so Taylor’s second single Lavender Haze has started to gain more traction on radio, and it has been moving up on the chart as well. Times are a lot different now when it comes to albums. There have not been as many hit songs off a single album as there once were. Olivia Rodrigo, Dua Lipa, and Doja Cat are the only artists recently to have multiple hit singles off their albums. Dua Lipa and Doja Cat had at least five hit singles while Olivia Rodrigo had four off her debut album. The most hit singles Miley has had on one single album was three which was off her Bangerz album which came out ten years ago. That album had the number one song Wrecking Ball which was also her first number one on the Billboard Hot 100, as well as lead single We Can’t Stop and Adore You.

The two main questions are how many hit singles could Miley have, and will there be any more hit songs beyond Flowers? Endless Summer Vacation could have many hit singles. The album is a solid album and is well received. I think any of the songs can be hit singles. Whether River becomes a hit or not it is still a good song. Some other songs that could be singles and could do well are the ballad Jaded which showcases Miley’s vocals. Thousand Miles, which features Brandi Carlile is similar to The Climb and has country vibes. That could potentially dominate both pop and country radio. Island has beach vibes and could do well during the summer. Album closer Wonder Woman, which is a nice soft ballad, could potentially do well. Her song You could be a nice change of pace for radio. The song starts off soft and then builds to a roaring chorus. That is the layout for the duration of the song going back and forth between the two. A personal favorite of mine is Rose Colored Lenses. It is a cool midtempo song and gives off summer vibes. I can picture listening to it in the car on the radio while driving down the road on a sunny summer day. The song has a bit of a feelgood chill vibe which is appropriate for the summer months.

It will be interesting to see what comes next for Miley Cyrus after Flowers starts to cool down. Endless Summer Vacation is a great album and one of Miley’s best. I hope there will be more hit songs off the album. If Flowers is far as it goes, it is still a win for Miley and the album is still great regardless if the album has one or five hit songs off it.
