I have been waiting for The Super Mario Bros Movie for many years. I was very excited to see it. The Super Mario Bros Movie is based off the popular video game franchise for Nintendo. The film stars Chris Pratt, Anya Taylor-Joy, Charlie Day, Jack Black, Keegan Michael Key, Seth Rogan, and Fred Armisen.

I enjoyed The Super Mario Bros Movie a lot. I have played a handful of the games for Nintendo 64 and Nintendo GameCube. I feel The Super Mario Bros Movie captured the spirit of the games. It really brought the games to life. The movie looks great. I think making Mario an animated movie was the right decision. I never saw the live movie that came out years ago. I have seen a trailer for it, and I could tell that it did not really follow the games at all. The movie did not seem to resemble the games either. From a visual standpoint the Super Mario Bros Movie matched the look of the games.

The voice cast is great. They all do a really good job. Chris Pratt and Charlie Day are good as Mario and Luigi. There has been controversy surrounding Chris Pratt as the voice of Mario. He does a really good job. He captures the spirit of the character, and he does not sound like Chris Pratt playing Chris Pratt. Charlie Day does a good job as Luigi. Just like Chris Pratt, he really captures the spirit of Luigi. A big part of the movie is Mario and Luigi’s relationship. I liked how the brothers looked out for each other and they both had shining moments. Seth Rogan also does a really good job as Donkey Kong. Donkey Kong was very funny. Jack Black was the perfect choice for Bowser. Keegan Michael Key did a solid job as Toad. Anya Taylor-Joy was a good choice for Peach. Fred Armisen was a good pick for Cranky Kong. The whole cast does a good job, and they all captured the spirit of their characters. I feel there was a fair amount of freedom for the actors’ portrayal of the characters since most of them never really talked in the games. Donkey Kong and Bowser never spoke in the games. They just made noises. Peach, Luigi, and Mario had limited dialogue. Toad never really spoke either.

The Super Mario Bros Movie is full of references for fans of the games. It all worked really well. It never felt forced. It is impressive how much was fit into the movie since it clocks in at about 92 minutes. The movie also has a great score. All of the music fit really well and a lot of the music from the games was featured in the movie.

The Super Mario Bros Movie is a great movie and a great adaptation of a classic video game franchise. The movie has heart, and it is funny and a lot of fun. The Super Mario Bros Movie has two credit scenes. I highly recommend staying for both. There is some set up for potential sequels. I hope there will be more films in the Super Mario Franchise. I would love to see the characters again. I also hope in time this could lead to an NCU (Nintendo Cinematic Universe) for all of the Nintendo properties.
